Frequently Asked Questions

What types of Crohn's disease treatments are being studied?

+

Current studies are evaluating new biologics targeting IL-23, selective JAK inhibitors, S1P receptor modulators, and combination therapies. Studies exist for both biologic-naive patients and those who have failed prior biologics.

Will I need to undergo colonoscopy?

+

Most studies require endoscopic evaluation at screening and during the study to assess mucosal healing. The number and timing of procedures varies by protocol.

Can I participate if I have had bowel surgery?

+

Prior bowel resection does not automatically exclude you, but extensive surgery resulting in short bowel syndrome typically does. The study team will evaluate your surgical history.

How are symptoms tracked during the study?

+

You will complete daily or weekly diaries tracking symptoms like bowel movements, abdominal pain, and general well-being. Regular blood tests and periodic endoscopy assess objective disease activity.
