- Diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Current depressive episode of at least 4 weeks duration
- MADRS or HAM-D score meeting study threshold
- Inadequate response to at least one prior antidepressant
- Stable living situation and reliable transportation
Who May Not Qualify
- Current suicidal ideation with intent or plan
- Bipolar disorder or psychotic features
- Substance use disorder within past 6 months
- Unstable medical conditions
- Current electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
